today i was practicing and my mind wouldn’t shut up, after 1-2 hours of very faint puffs i decided to stop sitting and layed down, i kind of lost consciousness and i had multiple things happening i don’t remember the exact order:
- i started lucid dreaming and it was way more clear then usual, (since i started darkroom practice i completely stopped having lucid dreams at night used to lucid dream 2-4 times each week instead i started to have lucid dream every day when i practice and i get too tired)
-second thing that happened i kind of became aware again after having lucid dreams (or before ?) and i understood i had my eyes closed but i could see my room anyway and it was lit with a very white diffused light all over surfaces my memories are not very clear but i think i started moving my arms (its the only thing i managed to move) i remember moving my arms frantically cause i wanted to make myself remember something that i understood , i think i was seeing through my double eyes and moving my double arms but my memory faded so fast after this experience
just wanted to add an unrelated thing, darkroom practice is making my eye sight better, i guess focusing on infinity helps the eyes

maybe we could brainstorm a bit, on what are the reasons why its more difficult for some of us to drop the internal chattering, maybe it could be beneficial, cause im having a very hard time too
Hi. I get both those things too
is the transition clear for you ?
cause for me its kind of blurred and its not clear what happens before or after and in between there is always lots of lucid dreaming , also i forget what happens very fast
You are doing great. btw.
thanks, lol
I don’t really know as I have only been doing this for 5 days now. And I don’t count the first 4 days because I was doing it wrong. Something I did is to keep a notepad by my bed because I would get good info and almost instantly forget it. About halfway through the 3 hours, the normal nasty internal dialogue (which I now call the narrative) that I wrestle with gets sweeter and it’s easier to keep silent. Probably the AP moved enough at that point. The sweeter narrative tells me good stuff I want to remember. I’ve found you can quickly write something down that you otherwise will forget, it doesn’t knock you out of the zone, so to speak, and I continue for the rest of the 3 hours. I wouldn’t try that more than once a session because that’s pushing it. Take care.
