Full Sleepwalking

This seemed utterly hopeless to post about, even though it’s the most interesting magic I’ve seen in months.

But the picture turned out ok! A bit confusing to beginners perhaps, so let me explain.

When you stop the internal dialogue, you’re sort of doing what happens when you fall asleep at night. The internal dialogue stops because you are asleep, and your awareness begins to go into your double (the guy running around in dreams), who starts to perceive endless other realities, so as to interact with them.

It “frolics” in dreams.

But if you stop your internal dialogue while awake, hopefully doing tensegrity in darkness to make it easier, your double gets curious and comes out into the real world.

That’s your “energy body”.

So you get a glowing puff floating around, your ally up by the ceiling trying to scare you with some new trick, strange organic surfaces on the floor, and too many other magical effects to list here.

Technically, that’s sleepwalking. Because it’s our own way to produce the effects of “The Nagual’s Blow”, and don Juan himself explained that when your assemblage point has moved like that, you are in fact asleep.

Which is kind of obvious, since dream objects begin to surround you.

That is NOT THE SAME as full on sleepwalking, as demonstrated by Genaro.

As I recall he even walked on the ceiling in that state.

So if you aren’t walking on the ceiling freely, you likely are not fully asleep.

But you could be!

This post actually started for me last night when I began to fall back while sitting on something in an infinite hotel room (one of Cholita’s favorite places), and realized I was fully asleep and still moving around my room without being aware of it.

I worried I would crash onto some furniture, but a voice said, “you planned for this. Don’t you remember?”

And my back fell onto my bed. I had positioned myself safely in case I lost balance.

I tried to remember when that happened, and all I could find was the hotel and two women teaching me how to do that. It’s a breathing technique.

Friends of Cholita, was my suspicion.

Who is still in Mexico.

I think sleepwalking is the natural path.

It is amazing what recap can do with memories tied to your childhood home.

I was lying in my little childhood bed, under the blankets, with my eyes open, when the IOB began calling me. It “sounded” close, actually “inside the wall,” so I just got out of bed and crawled into a burrow that had formed there. It was a direct entrance to the purple place, “the lavender field,” where an IOB with intimidating energy seemed to be in charge. She told me her name and said she was “the guardian of lost children.”

When I was five, I still used to escape with her almost every night. But now I know I never entered through ordinary sleeping dreams, and I think that is simply not possible.

If you fall into sleeping dreams, you lose your objective. But sleepwalking seems to have a certain level of “continuity”. Your “boring” part goes to sleep, while you can enter the second attention and continue there.

Back then, there was only one rule for getting to the purple place: stay still and pretend to be asleep until the Nursemaid came for me.

My mom says I used to sleepwalk and sleep-talk, and that I would wake up in places other than where I had gone to bed. Sometimes my family would find me sleepwalking, wandering around the house, and they say they could even chat with me. I never said or did anything “dangerous,” but they could never make any rational sense of the “explanations” I gave. Besides, my eyes were half-open, so everyone simply figured I was “sleepwalking” and left me alone.

I remember that I used to explore the lavender place until I had completely peed myself, and I suppose that whenever my body got cold, I would simply move somewhere dry.

The lavender field was my favorite place, but I walked away from it on my own after I started elementary school, when the social world became more important and peeing myself became far too embarrassing. I also found out that, for the rest of society, those “beings” were nothing but “demons,” supposedly the cause of all the evil in the world. Pure bullshit!

But I wanted to be a “big boy,” so I chose my boring side…

Maybe the IOB did look for me in ordinary dreams, but I could not recognize her. They were “nightmares.”

Until I started cleaning with the Sweeper…

So, the real nightmare is choosing to stay asleep.

It seems that sleepwalking can be used for assembling the past, from memories.

I don’t have time for another distraction during darkroom, but the process is the same as recap.

While sleepwalking (as indicated by the percentage of dream scenes around you), you remember an element from the past, until the dream around you has that, in context.

Then just build up from there.

It’s potentially incremental time travel!

And makes total sense, because recap is designed to do that.

It’s also similar to going directly from waking, into sleeping dreams, because you’re no longer awake despite walking around with your eyes open.

It might also be used to “locate” people who are asleep and dreaming.
