30 days "Tensegrity & Gazing" challenge

..

USEFUL LINKS:

..

i choose these two practice because they are body based and easy and beginner friendly . compared to Silence, Recap … which is mind based and difficult and too soon for me as a beginner .

i will do 15 minutes of tensegrity , and 2 hours and 45 minutes of gazing . totaling 3 hours. every day.

i’m not gonna flood this sub with my posts , every day i will update this post only , so come back here if you are interested .

you can also participate and comment on this post and update your comment every day and record your progress/experiences/struggles.

or mods can create a special thread for this challenge so all of us can go comment there and record our progress . this would be a lot better .

these group challenges would make it easier to commit to some practice . enough of fooling around . let’s do some real work.

challenge started at 2023-02-12

15 min of tensegrity seems low to me, why did you choose to do only 15..?

you can choose how long you want ! just mention it in your records. if you have more time and can do more , do! it’s not restricted .

There’s an introduction to gazing on this page:

https://www.reddit.com/r/castaneda/wiki/introduction-practices/#wiki_-5._gazing , maybe you can include that in your post please?

Darkroom practice won’t work without inner silence. But give it a try.

To be honest I would rather suggest that people do Recap and Tensegrity for 30 days starting out, or get Silence Stones and bear down for a good portion of the 3 hours, but recap requires more preparatory work (unless you’re recapping the events of the day).

And the stones have to be either found, or ordered, first…which can take time depending on where you live and resource availability (unless you just get some pencils with flat sides and use those instead, after cutting to length and sanding if they’re painted).

thanks. totally fine by me . this message is pinned! wow! i should really really

commit to this . good test

yes powerful practice i did it before . but as you said , without silence , it would be kind of wasting time . after this challenge i may be ready for that .

done . feel free to edit the post ( if reddit has such things )

No, only you can edit a post that you made.

You need silence to get the most out of it though… and if you are going to be doing gazing it’s implied that silence should be done with it

Don Juan instructed La Gorda to gaze at dried leafs as a starting point .

later she said to Carlos : if you also gaze at leafs for hours every day your thoughts will stop .

A recent comment with a more experienced users view on what should be emphasized at the beginning:

Just add a heaping portion of silence to whatever you choose to do, and notice (and then “allow,” which takes practice) whatever’s “odd” that presents itself…and work on not getting kicked back out of silence by your reactions to it.

It’s a good idea, but keep in mind.

You NEED to be doing Tensegrity DURING DRG.

Otherwise it won’t work 1/8th as well.

If you have a space problem, you could do what you say. Do “real tensegrity” for however long.

But also find some “small” movements that take around 20 minutes to complete, and can be done using whatever space you have. Repeated puff scooping and stuffing would count. Pandora’s box. Zuleica’s pass can also be done sitting. Running man series too.

Wiggling the fingers on the spot of the second attention, is also great. That becomes both visible, and you can feel stuff just like Zuleica said.

Main thing is, you NEED a “container”, for DRG intent to store into.

A ritual or routine, which transforms into magic over the weeks of practicing and “noticing” results.

Otherwise you’ll mostly fantasize and spoil the 2 hours and 45 minutes.

And you won’t get the help of your double, who LOVES tensegrity moves.

That’s the fastest path of all!

Gazing. Not necessarily at leaves. Just any gazing.

But no one keeps it up.

I’m not sure why.

Could just be, there aren’t enough using that path.

And it’s not that people give up because leaf or fern gazing is boring.

But more because, 99 out of 100 always give up. No matter what technique they are using.

It’s well proven in this subreddit!

And so far maybe there’s only been 99 serious leaf gazers in the modern history of mankind.

So we didn’t get the 1 that will keep it up.

By the way, “the caretaker”, a silent knowledge entity of mine, like Porfirio of Nestor in the books, claims to know about sorcery 100,000 years ago.

He said that mankind back then didn’t see sorcery as “different” from anything else. So it’s difficult for us, who do, to understand what they did.

For them it was like making stone cutting tools, traps for fish, or any other survival technique.

They had no spoken language, and thus 0% “book deal mind”.

And leaf gazing was their most common technique.

Because they did a lot of hiding from predators, in bushes and trees thick with leaves.

It was an attempt to increase their survival skills, while trapped in a tree waiting for a predator to give up on them.

The claim was, they could go “bush hopping”.

Teleporting from thick leaves surrounding them in one location, to another that they’d studied well with leaf gazing.

As crazy as it sounds, you can do the same thing during recap.

Just find yourself in a “better” part of the house, where it’s not as boring as it is inside your recap crate.

Your double causes it.

But to make it “valid”, the tonal has to wake up, in the new location.

Easier for the ancient seers. They didn’t have social pressures telling them that’s not possible.

People mostly gazing at some smartphone screen nowadays! The amount of fragmentation going on, in terms of attention span is horrible nowadays!

Actually we could modify that to be a sorcery technique!

I do DRG using my cellphone from time to time.

I combine it with sunlight glitter. Gaze down through the screen of the phone, while it’s angled to catch the sun, then I find “3 layers of glitter”.

And watch the lowest level.

Where my Allies often show up to scare the shit out of me.

It’s one thing to “think you see one” down there.

The light glitter takes on a “coincidental shape”.

I’ve even seen, “coincidences” where it looks like Fairy wrestling with Minx in there.

But the big shocker is when one of them, down in the cell phone, “notices” you watching them.

And suddenly turns their head to face you, and you can see their face clearly.

Better get a good cell phone cover that can take a fall, because you’ll drop the phone the first time.

I’ll animate that.

I couldn’t make a still work.

But animations have no problem with “layers” like that, properly aligned to virtual space.
